Gastrocopta cf. rogersensis Nekola & Coles, 2001

Height 2.1 mm; similar to typical Gastrocopta rogersensis, but differs in having a distinct supra-palatal fold in most fully grown individuals (see notes below), and in having a thin lip (not thickened within); shell thin and translucent, inner columella usually vixible through shell.

Supra-palatal fold less deeply recessed than upper-palatal; whorl without thickened and raised crest behind lip; the thin lip is either translucent or colored the same as body whorl when viewed laterally, without the white or buff coloring caused by thickening.

Lip reflexed and thin.

Notes:

The supra-palatal fold, when present, is approximately the same size or a little smaller than the upper-palatal; about 1/2 the individuals collected were immature and lack the supra-palatal; a few appear to be fully grown and also lack the supra-palatal. Shells are thinner and more translucent than typical G. procera or G. rogersensis.
