Gastrocopta rogersensis Nekola & Coles, 2001

 

Height, 2.2 mm; very similar to Gastrocopta procera; differs by angular and parietal lobes of the angulo-parietal lamella more widely separated and more parallel, parietal lobe of angulo-parietal lamella much heavier than angular lobe, nearly vertical, inner end not strongly curved toward columellar; lower palatal fold deeply recessed and usually partially hidden by angulo-parietal lamella.

With small but distinct crest behind lip.

 

 


Notes:
Locality: Missouri, Pike Co., 1 mi SE of Frankford, along service road east of hwy 61, glade and old highway cut [39° 29' 13"N, 91° 18' 29"W ].

Samples from this locality had approximately equal numbers of G. procera and G. rogersensis.
